"As soon as my daughter started to work with Sarah, she became much more positive about her English studies and work; sounds a bit cheesy to say, but she started to believe in herself"

I am Sarah Wah, former Deputy of English at St Paul’s Girls’ School, London and Cambridge PhD graduate. I work as an independent tutor offering online English literature tuition to students preparing for 11+ and beyond.

With expert knowledge of the 11+ entrance processes for London's best independent schools along with inside experience of marking English entrance papers at St Paul's Girls' over a period of many years, I am in a privileged position to help your child secure a place at a top senior school. Students under my wing have received offers from SPGS; Godolphin & Latymer; JAGS; Latymer Upper; Francis Holland; City Girls'; City Boys'; NLC; St Paul's Boys'; Eton; Westminster -  some with academic distinction. Other areas of expertise include GCSE, A Level and Oxbridge admissions. In my career to date, I’ve never not taught exam-level content and am proud of my record for helping students achieve consistently outstanding grades.

It is important to me that my teaching inspires and nurtures as much as it practically equips. I would describe my teaching style as warm, rigorous and creative; I know exam specs inside out but I take care not to teach to them alone – I like to think that Sissy Jupe would feel at home in my virtual classroom though I’d never give up on a Bitzer. Whatever your end goal, I will provide a space that feels personal, safe and dynamic enough to take risks, think seriously and creatively, argue through ideas and grow in confidence.

“Sarah’s knowledge, skills and experience as a Higher Education adviser over a number of years have been invaluable to students in helping them navigate the complex process of applying to competitive universities."

Jo Moriarty, former Head of Higher Education, St Paul’s Girl’s School
