This is an interesting essay about teaching Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre through art, photography and sound. Whilst some of the ideas discussed are probably a bit advanced for English A-Level or GCSE students, the sections relating to Bertha Mason's dehumanisation are definitely more accessible and, with a little bit of extracting and adapting, could be brought into the A-Level classroom.
It's annoying that the essay is restricted access but if your Head of Department is happy to pay to download the chapter, then go for it! (Click on the image for the link)
